Amped:  We are launching a new way to do Sunday School for kids in our Ark, Jump & Express classes.  We call it, “Amped.”  Don’t be surprised if you kids come home from church pumped up about God.  This is how it will work: Kids attending the 9:30 service will report to the Multi-purpose room for high energy games and large group activities.  They can be picked up from their traditional classrooms at the end of the service if they aren’t staying for both.  Our Christmas production for the group chorus parts will also be incorporated into this service.  Kids with speaking parts will have additional rehearsals on Thursdays beginning in October.

Second service programming will run similar to our current structure, with kids reporting to the various age group classrooms.  Parents are encouraged to bring their kids to both services so they can experience the energy of Amped, but also enjoy small group atmosphere and excellent teaching within their classrooms.

Nursery is a safe, loving place to leave your children from birth through age 3 while you enjoy the message.  We offer age-appropriate games, toys, music, and snacks for your little ones. Children must be 3 years old and potty-trained before moving up to The Ark. 

The Ark for children from age 3 (well potty trained) through kindergarten. Your children will learn about God through games, songs, crafts, and puppet shows.

Jump is a great place for kids from grades 1-3. We offer lots of music, games, and crafts for this age group. We also provide engaging lessons and discussion time to help mold your child spiritually.

Express is our class for grades 4 & 5. Students will enjoy activities geared toward older children. We also use a lot of discussion time to help students think through what the Bible teaches. 

KICK (Kid in Christ Kingdom formerly our Middle School Class) will be back on Sept. 12 @ 11 am in room 112!  This is open to kids entering 6, 7, & 8 grades.  Please join Stefan & Audrey as we go further into the Dating, Sex & Marriage series as it applies to ‘tween life. Sign up at a Check in Kiosk or in the teen room.  Leave LCC @ 2 pm on Sept. 19.  Cost is $20 per person, includes transportation.  

Transformers (formerly our High School Group) Join the O’Brien’s in the Teen Lounge on Sundays at 11 am for fun, worship, and getting deep in the Word. Inspired by Romans 12:2, we are a dynamic and eclectic group living in a life for Christ.  Please join us on our walk together & discover what if means to truly live a life full of faith, love & joy.

Wednesday Night Small Group 5:30 pm @ LCC Guys & Gals, join the O’Brien’s as they read through Wild at Heart & Captivating by John Elderidge.  This is a great time to connect with other teens and explore what it really means to be a man or woman of God.

Special Events:  Night of Worship with Steven Curtis Chapman & Third Day at DTE Energy Theatre. September 19.  Leave LCC @ 2pm Cost is $20 includes transportation. 

Back to the Manger: Our annual Christmas Production will be holding tryouts for the speaking parts soon and be lead by the latent of Bill & Jen Kraly.  Kids will begin learning songs during our Amped class.  We look forward to everyone to participating in this exciting drama, “Back to the Manger”-During the annual Christmas Caroling Outreach at Midway Community Church, Jackson and his friends discover a time machine in the basement. After accidentally hitting a lever, they embark on an adventure throughout the twentieth century and learn how helping others changes lives. Seeing the caroling outreach effects over the decades, once-skeptical Jackson comes to know Christ better and discovers the true value of God’s gift and why we celebrate His birth.
