Volunteer Opportunities.

The Bible describes the church as a body and it’s parts. When you are not serving, it’s like the body is missing a piece. Volunteering at LCC is an outlet for being a part of that body. Volunteering is also outlet for your own spiritual growth, as helping others is a great step in learning about ourselves.

We would love for you to consider stepping in to your unique role that God has designed you for here at LCC. We ask volunteers to commit to one volunteer team for one year. Essentially: volunteering during one service and enjoying another, our “Work One, Worship One,” motto. We encourage you to contact the team leader for complete details before taking on any role to ensure we are matching your gifts with our needs.

This highlights the volunteer teams that we have the most pressing need. There are additional volunteer opportunities that exist at LCC. Please inquire with Pastor Rod about other ways you can help out at our church.

Front Line Ministries

Got a friendly face? Like to meet new people? Understand the importance of warm welcome? Then the Frontline Ministries Team is for you. This group consists of the Guest Service Desk, Connections, Greeters, Ushers, and Offering teams. Volunteers will be asked to greet guests, direct people to appropriate locations and assist us with information distribution. Typically volunteers in these jobs serve about once a month and jobs only require about an hour of your time.

Student Ministries

Like kids? Well student ministries is the place for you. We need people of all kinds of skills to teach lessons, sing songs, lead crafts, and play lots of games. Volunteers in this area need to commit to serving during one service, each Sunday throughout the school year or through the summer. You don’t have to be a theologian or even know what that word is to work with our kids, just have a heart for Christ and want to share it with others. The student ministry team works with kids from birth to seniors in high school. Volunteers are subject first completing a brief application and a background check.

Program leaders very for each of these events and we encourage interested volunteers to contact Audrey Brady for further details.

Food Ministries

Do you love to eat? We have several teams that serve up platefuls of good food thanks to the dedication of these volunteers. From the snack & coffee shop on Sundays to our compassion team that ensures a hot meal is delivered to those in need, LCC can cook up a good thing. With the exception of the Café team, this group of volunteers works on demand for special events like funerals or broadcasts, or prepares meals for folks celebrating the birth of a new child.

From taking out the trash to mowing the lawn, it’s these many little things volunteers do that have a big impact. Our building and grounds teams work throughout the week, often putting in odd hours cleaning,, replacing light bulbs, snowplowing, or working flower beds. Most of the time we need volunteers to work in two hour segments during the week.
